He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentina Wenglowski-Carmichael and Major Kenneth Charles Carmichael. He is survived by: his wife Kris Carmichael; his daughter Kathy Curtis (Jay); his grandchildren, Grant and Charlotte; his son Scott Carmichael; his grandchildren, Scarlett, Juliett, Cosett and Jackie Carmichael; and his great grandchildren, Kyle, Ashley, Jonathan, Christian and Luke.
