He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Dunn Sr. and Vera Beggs Dunn. He is survived by: his wife Maureen S. Dunn; his brother Stanley S. Dunn (Susan); his sibling's children, Pamela D. Daly (Christopher) and Allen R. Dunn (Dana); and his great-nieces, Kathleen, Sarah, Emily Daly and Alexandra Dunn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape Hospice Care or Wounded Warriors.
