With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cora Lee Holcombe Meredith (Hodges, South Carolina), born in Stephens, Georgia, who passed away on December 10, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George D. Meredith; her parents, W. P. Holcombe and Emeline Williams Holcombe; her son Layne Daniel Meredith, Sr.; her children-in-law, Jimmie Nell Meredith, Gloria Meredith and James T. Rushton; her grandson David Kidwell; and her siblings, Henry Holcombe, Jim Holcombe, Frances Carlton and Kathryn Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Larry M. Meredith, Sr., F. Michael Meredith, Sr. (Karen) and Diane Meredith Rushton; her daughter-in-law Carmen O'Briant; her grandchildren, Sandy Meredith, Michelle Bass (Sabin), Danny Meredith, Nick Meredith (Mikal), Larry Meredith, Jr., Jeff Meredith (Amy), Michael Meredith, Jr. (Lena), Jennifer Johnston (Rob), Kathy Gregory (Brent), Kristy Reagan (Tim) and Kerry Hodges (Chris); her great grandchildren, Will Meredith (Hannah Beth), Meredith Bass, Hayden Bass, Emma Grace Bass, Beau Meredith, Corrie Meredith, Brooke Riley (Walker), Jonathan Meredith, Trace Meredith, Tucker Meredith, Teague Meredith, Julia Meredith, Buchan McElrath, Meredith Johnston, Koby Eklund, Tanner Eklund (Hayley), Brianne Eklund, Kenley Grogan (Dylan), Kyler Reagan, Morgan Burrell (Elijah), Madison Hodges and Matthew Hodges; and her great great grandchildren, Josie James Burrell, Charlee Burrell, Bellman Eklund and Greer Grogan.
