He was predeceased by : his parents, Geames Wayman Strawhorn and Statia Daniel Strawhorn; his grandchildren, Micheal McAllister and Brandon McAllister; and his son-in-law Mike Perry.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Hodges Strawhorn; his children, Sherry Terry (Steve), Lynn Perry, Keith Strawhorn (Susie), Bryan Strawhorn and Wendy Derrick (Shad); his sister Gertrude Mason; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Derrick, Kasey McAllister, Heather Shockley, Amy Strange, Kayla Cooper, Austin Strawhorn, Amber McGuffin, Ashlan Strawhorn and Dayton Derrick.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens (3302 US-25, Hodges, SC 29653).
