She was predeceased by : her husband James Milton Strickland of Hwy; her parents, Kenneth Shirley and Martha "Mattie" Josephine Pepper Shirley; her children, Dave, Danny, Steve Strickland and Ann Alewine; and her siblings, Tommy, John William Shirley and Elizabeth McClain.

She is survived by : her son Dale Strickland (Wanda) of Honea Path. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
