He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl and Ruth Jones Hughes; and his brothers, Rudy Hughes and Barry Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Chris Hughes of Laurens and Donna Jo Smith (Porter) of Alabama; his sister Jan Jones (Tommy) of Honea Path; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Cox (Johnny) of Honea Path and Cheryl Hughes of Honea Path. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pruitt Funeral Home (603 N Main St, Honea Path, SC 29654). A reception will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
