He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl and Ruth Jones Hughes; and his brothers, Rudy Hughes and Barry Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Chris and Donna Jo Smith (Porter) of Alabama; his sister Jan Jones (Tommy) of Honea Path; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Cox (Johnny) of Honea Path and Cheryl Hughes of Honea Path. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
