He was predeceased by: his parents, Alver Ashley and Lucille Thelma Ricketts Ashley; and his siblings, James, Ralph, Jerry, Albert, Dale, David "Skeet" Ashley and Margaret Gambrell.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Burdette (Dwayne) of Honea Path; his sister Edna Nimmons of Honea Path; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Burdette (Jennifer), Ashley Smalley (Brandon) and Bradley Burdette (Tristan); and his great grandchildren, Lacey Burdette, Luke Burdette, Renley Smalley and Banks Smalley.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pruitt Funeral Home (603 N Main St, Honea Path, SC 29654).
