He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Larry Ashley Sr. and Betty Marie Ables; and his grandson Mikee'Smith III. He is survived by: his significant other Sonya Lindley; his daughters, Tephanie Ashley (Brian) and Josi Rae Ashley of Honea Path, SC; his stepdaughters, Jessica Stewart, Samantha Vaughn and Tabitha Lollis; his sisters, Kathy Griffith (Mike) and Angie Latimer (Lamar); his aunts, JoAnn McAlister and Wilma Tumblin; and his pet J. W. Ashley (John Wayne). He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren;11 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Bethany Baptist Church (1632 Bethany Church Rd, Belton, SC 29627). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
