She was predeceased by: her parents, William Valentine and Loucia Valentine; and her siblings, Genevieve Wheelock, Houston Valentine and John Valentine.
She is survived by: her children, Ivor Shaw of Horn Lakes, Leonard Shaw (Betty) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cynthia Shaw, Amani Shaw-Boyd (Matthew) of Mauldin and Hope Shaw-Williams (Anterrias) of Greenville; and her sister Peggy C. Shamberger of Carthage. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren;six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
