It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Keating Lewis Smith (Hopkins, South Carolina), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Tucker Smith, III and Emily Heath Smith. He is survived by : his siblings, Charles Smith and Mackie O'Keefe (Pat); his niece Emily Davison (Byron); his nephew Michael O'Keefe; and his great-nieces, Rebecca Davison and Allison O'Keefe.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to St. John's Episcopal Church, Congaree, 1151 Elm Savannah Road, Hopkins, SC 29061 or the Citadel Development Foundation, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409.
