He was predeceased by : his former life partner Marlene. He is survived by : his wife Lois; his brother Jesse Howze; his children, Scarlette and Gilene; and his grandchildren, Aubrey and Koy.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lykesland (2712 Trotter Rd, Hopkins, SC 29061). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC 29209).
