With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carla Garcia of Huger, South Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Carla departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Carla. Though Carla may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Carlton Reynolds, Jr. and Betty Padgett; her grandparents, Emmett and Irma Bowdoin; and her sister Robin Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Rolando Garcia II of Huger, SC; her children, Misty Lynn Leathers (Jakeb) of Summerville, SC, Jonathan Carl Garcia (Mercedes) of Summerville, SC and Joseph William Perkins of Saint Augustine, FL; her brother Billy Reynolds of Milledgeville, GA; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Jaime Garcia and Bailey Marie Perkins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Parks Funeral Home Chapel (130 W 1st N St, Summerville, SC 29483).
