He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred DeYoung and Ruby Mae Parris DeYoung; and his siblings, Janice DeYoung Daley, Darrell DeYoung and Glenn DeYoung.
He is survived by: his sister Brenda Faye DeYoung Rollins of York, SC. He is also survived by children, grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Holly Springs Baptist Church (251 Hannon Rd, Inman, SC 29349).
