She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Blackwell and Roey Blackwell; her husband Roscoe Higgins; her son Michael Higgins; her daughter-in-law Betty Higgins; her great grandchild Paislee Kate Higgins; and her grandson Freddie Price.
She is survived by: her children, Leonard R. Higgins of Jonesville and Janice Fordree (John) of Inman; her sisters, Madglene Green of Campobello and Frances Mabry of Inman; her grandsons, Scott Higgins (Katie) of Jonesville, Ben Fordree (Abby) of Lexington and Jon Ross Fordree (Emily) of Columbia; and her great grandchildren, Harper Fordree, Rebekah Fordree, Blaine Higgins and Everett Fordree.
