He is survived by : his children, Lamar McAbee (Rhonda) of Inman, SC and Carla Edwards (Paul) of Inman, SC; his siblings, Jean Keller of Inman, SC, Nancy Brackett (Ronnie), Sandra Alexander (Marshall) of Lyman, SC, James McAbee (Virginia) of Lyman Lake, SC and Alfred McAbee (Katherine) of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Nikki Baldridge, Ashley Kimbrell, Sheree Edwards and Brooke Sisk; and his great grandchildren, Kenyon Fuentes, Shane Kimbrell, Kashton McAbee, Kristian Young, Annie Young, Eli Young and Elizabeth Kimbrell.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church (330 W Finger St, Landrum, SC 29356).
