He was predeceased by: his parents, Maybelle Bagwell (Johnson) and William H. Bagwell, Sr.; his daughter Kathy Coyle; his grandson Landon Parris; and his siblings, Homer, Hugh, Thurmond, Walter, Nellie Condrey, Lois Reece, Violet Ivey and Mary L. Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Bagwell (Bright); his children, Kris Bagwell Merriotte (Scott) of Inman, SC and Donnie Bagwell (Terri) of Boiling Springs, SC; and his grandchildren, Billy Bevell (Laura), Lacey Coyle, Jackie Coyle, Stacy Brown (Russ) and Brooke Ashley (Steven).
