With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herman Harmon Whitaker Jr. of Inman, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman H. Whitaker, Sr. and Geneva Muse Whitaker; and his brothers, Eddie Whitaker and Ken Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Ann George Whitaker; his brother-in-law Ronnie George (Jean); his nephew Dr. Todd George (Rob); his niece Amanda Blackwell; his great-nieces, Sarah Ann and Sailor Grace Blackwell; his niece Edie Willis (Dwayne); his nephew David Whitaker (Laurie); his great-nieces, Emma and Hannah Whitaker; his niece Kati Whitaker (Zac Parker); and his sisters-in-law, Shirlene Whitaker and Ruth Whitaker.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Inman First Baptist Church (14 N Howard St, Inman, SC 29349). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
