He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Davis, (Emory) and James Verlon Davis, Sr.. He is survived by: his spouse Melaine Davis (Jackson); his children, James "Jamie" Verlon Davis III (Susan) and Sharon Davis Wells; his grandsons, Austin Wells and Hunter Wells (Mykayla); his sister Margretha Stinson; his nephew Clint Hoover; his great-nieces, Bailey and Whitney Partridge (Dalton); and also Graycen Partridge.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Springs Baptist Church (251 Hannon Rd, Inman, SC 29349).
