He is survived by: his parents, Jerry A. Horton and Agnes Seay Horton; his wife Angie K. Horton; his sons, Jeffrey Allen Horton, Jr. (Kimberly McAbee Horton) and Blake Kirkpatrick Horton (Karina Lynne Horton); his sister Mel A. Horton; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Allen Horton, III (Tripp), Avrielyn Elise Horton and Yates Elisha Horton.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lake Bowen Baptist Church (404 Sugar Ridge Rd, Inman, SC 29349). A reception was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family is working on setting up a special program that will benefit the students of Spartanburg County.
