He was predeceased by: his parents, Olivia James (Griffin) and Calvin E. James; his son Mark James; his grandson Ricky Smith; and his brother Gerald James.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenny (Patricia), Bobby (Lori) and Stanley (Vicki); his grandchildren, Kristi, Ashley, Tabitha, Brandy, Casey, Elisa, Codie, Brianna, Lacie, Abbie, Samantha, Mandi, Sandi, Jason, Stacey, Derek, Justin, Corey, Jordan, Jesse, Will and James; and his sister Judy McCarley. He is also survived by great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Whitney Free Will Baptist Church (90 Blackstock Rd, Inman, SC 29349). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Agape Hospice 1060 Boiling Springs Rd, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
