He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Cole Allen Gardner and John Wadell Allen, Sr.; his brother George T. Allen; and his grandson Austin Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Hammond Allen; his children, Jennifer Foy (William) of Tryon, NC, Lauren McKinnish (Christopher) of Boiling Springs, Ashley Allen of Boiling Springs, Jason Dunn of Nashville, TN and Scott Allen of Greenville; his sisters, Cynthia Kelly of Starr, SC and Pearl Ann Acuff (David) of Pelzer, SC; and his sister-in-law Patty Allen of Pelzer, SC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
