She was predeceased by: her parents, Nell Duncan (Bishop) and James Thomas "JT" Duncan. She is survived by: her son Michael Allen Poteat (Wendy); her sisters, S. Elaine Duncan-Goodwin and Charlotte Hyder; her grandson Michael Chandler Poteat (Anna); her great grandchild Sadie Kate Poteat; her niece Katie Willingham (Josh); and her great-nieces, Leia and Amelia.
