He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rufus Pruitt, Sr. and Bessie Cannon Pruitt; his wife Doris Caldwell Pruitt; and his siblings, Margaret Banks Cannon and James R. Pruitt, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Richard E. Pruitt (Sue) of Campobello and Rev. John C. Pruitt of Kernersville; and his grandchildren, Jacob Pruitt and Mary Grace Chandler (Clay). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Seawright Funeral Chapel (26 E Main St, Inman, SC 29349).
