It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Johnston of Inman, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Dillard Crowe and Beulah Dill Crowe; her spouses, Elford Fowler and William H. "Bill" Johnston; her daughter Diane Campbell; her siblings, Katherine Cox and Roger Crowe; and her great grandchild Khloe Grace Parton.

She is survived by : her children, Phyllis Bryant (James) of Mayo and Bobby Johnston of Mayo; and her grandchildren, John Parton, Joey Parton, Rocky Johnston, Kristy Johnston Gutierrez and Susie Johnston Scruggs. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
