He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Eugene Derrick and Viola Boykin Pebley; and his brother Chip Derrick. He is survived by: his stepdaughter J. J.; his son-in-law Chris; his wife Janet Derrick; his daughter Jessica Jordan of Irmo, SC; his grandchildren, Emmanuel, Elijah, Kaitlynn and Kayla; his sisters, Bankie Shealy (Tullie) and Shay Feaster; and his nieces and nephews, Jamie Player, Summer Thav, Sophie Derrick and Erin Derrick.
