He is survived by: his wife Sheilah Padgett Carlander; his children, Karen Renee Maikkula (Anthony), Kristie Lynn Carlander (Jayson) and Michael Edward Carlander (Leah); his grandchildren, Paitlin Grace Martin (Chase), Caleb Austin Hammer (Tabytha), Reilly Elisabeth Altman, Mackenzie Page Carlander, Madison Leigh Carlander, Kynleigh Mae Carlander, Kendra Ellen-Lee Kozhayev (Andrew) and Anthony Edward Maikkula; his great grandchildren, Anastasia Renee Kozhayev and Estell Josephine Martin; his mother Shirley Hodgdon Carlander; and his sister Peggy Carlander.
