He was predeceased by: his nephew Erik Hinson; his parents, Ernest Hinson and Myrtle Hinson; and his siblings, Ernest Hinson, Jr. and Joyce Lawrimore.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne; his children, Sandra Marcengill and Ken Hinson; his grandchildren, Jack and Maggie; his niece Jill Webster; and his nephews, Jay Lawrimore, Mark Hinson and Greg Hinson.
