Doris Lyon Boggs Obituary
We bid farewell to Doris Lyon Boggs (Irmo, South Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 6, 2025 at the age of 91. Doris Lyon touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her sister Muriel Lyon Johnson; and her daughter Elizabeth Boggs Garvin. She is survived by: her daughter Catherine Boggs Hoecke; her son-in-law Wilfried Carl; her grandchildren, Joshua Garvin, Karl Hoecke of Columbia, SC, Franklin Hoecke (Emily) of South Asia and Anna Hoecke of Columbia, SC.; her great grandchildren, Mercy and Eden Hoecke; her son-in-law James Garvin (Martha) of Canton, GA; her nieces, Lynn Johnson Holowasko (Scott) and Megan Marie Johnson of Florida; her family Doris; her friend Bettye Jean; her fiancé Frank Boggs; her friend Kay Arthur; and the mother of her children Doris.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Light Supper Fellowship. A memorial service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
