He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Louis Wurtz and Edmay Agnes Recette; and his son Jeffery Jay Wurtz. He is survived by: his children, Tammie Sue Stoner, Laura Lee Flowers, Traci Renee Zucchi and Lawrence Michael Wurtz, Jr.; and his stepchildren, John Charles Stalzer III, Maria Annette Melton, Konni Linn Owens and Terryl Douglas Martin.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063).
