It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta (Rita) Rhodus of Irmo, South Carolina, who passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Brinson and Nellie Brinson; her husband Bill Rhodus; and her sister Lillian B. Yarborough. She is survived by: her children, Billy, Grover W. Rhodus (Billy), Susan Derrick (Stan) of Irmo, SC, Michael Rhodus (Debbie) of Hickory, NC and Cindy Bell (Mark) of Suwanee; her cousin Wayne Black (Linda); her grandchildren, Cristi Kemp (Jerry), Heather Smith (Clif), Daniel Rhodus, Julie Bell, David Rhodus (Ashton), Katie B. Fleuren (Dennis), Stephanie Derrick Frost, Nikki (Naomi) and Michael Griffin; her great grandchildren, Sheaffer McCormack, Ivy McCormack (Michael Morris), Zac McCormack, Connor Rhodus, Koldyn, John Walker, Lawson McLane, Andrew Frost, Phillip Frost and Paul Frost; and her great great grandchildren, Jayla Rose McCormack Jones, Jaylen McCormack Jones and River Morris.
After Bill's passing, Loretta remained a resident until the severe isolation of Covid-19.
