It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Walter Carter (Irmo, South Carolina), who passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lee and Bertha Ada Tickle Carter; and his brothers, Charles Lee Carter, Joe Bob Carter and David Lee Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Lib" Carter; his children, Sheila Gillease (Chris Cooper), Roger Walter Carter, Jr. (Shelby Wooten) and Kenneth Carter (Mandy); his grandchildren, Graham Gillease, Zachary Carter, Logan Gillease, Staton Carter and Ellie Carter; and his brother Norman Franklin Carter.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Haywood Church Cemetery, 6174 Broadway Road, Sanford, NC or Union United Methodist Church, 7582 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063.
