It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Kosmopoulos of Irmo, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Jimmy Kosmopoulos and Judy MacFarland; his sister Jennifer Sneddon; and his close friend Hamilton Kinard. He is also survived by three aunts and one uncle; many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SD Gunner Fund, which trains service dogs for veterans and disabled children.

“Meeting Steve was like seeing an old friend. I felt like I had always known him. He was so happy to go scuba diving, take video of our underwater adventures and share them with everyone. He was the first to show up, help out with any odd job that needed to be done, and the last to leave . It was my honor to be his dive buddy for his 100th dive! We will all miss his sweet nature, big smile and videos. Thank you for sharing Steve with us.”
