She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Rhodes and Juanita Ida Garrett Rhodes. She is survived by: her husband Ritchie E. Long of Irmo, SC; her children, Stephen Long of Germany, Mary Kathryn "Katie" Long of Irmo, SC and Susan Elizabeth "Libby" Alshafie of Irmo, SC; and her brother John Samuel Rhodes of Saluda, NC.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
