He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth "Ruthie" Addison Shealy; his sons, Bryan Reid Shealy (Olivia) of Chapin, SC and Joseph Matthew Shealy (Carissa) of Chapin, SC; his grandchildren, Ethan Reid, Hunter Joseph, Luke Ryan, Sophia Marie, Aida Rae and Everett Ballinger; his brother Clyde Shealy (Diane) of Chapin, SC; and his brother-in-law Joseph Taylor Addison III (Linda) of Lexington, SC. He is also survived by cousin.
