It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Wesley Porterfield Jr. (Irmo, South Carolina), who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wesley Porterfield and Virginia Alice Holliday Porterfield; his wife Ann Irby Garrett Porterfield; and his sisters, Mellany Belle Porterfield Shumate and Alice Holliday Porterfield Broom.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Rynn Porterfield (Chip Crane) and Susan Irby P. Pardee (CR); and his grandchildren, Charles, Grace and Anna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
