He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie William and Maybell Fields Elgin; his sister Joyce King; and his niece Diane King Bolt (Charles Bolt). He is survived by: his spouse Shelby Poniece Fisher Elgin of Hwy; his son Charles Michael Elgin (Vicki) of Anderson; and his nephew Ronnie King (Connie) of Belton.
