He is survived by: his mother Mable Galloway Shipman of Brevard, NC; his wife Dorothy Franklin Shipman; his children, William Douglas Corn of Mills River, NC and Angela Darlene Shipman of Etowah, NC; his siblings, Howard Shipman (Boryana) of Tavernier, FL, Fred Shipman of Rosman, NC, Patricia Wilson (Bud) of Campobello, SC and Sandra Miller (Doug) of Granite Falls, NC; his brother-in-law David Pace of Edneyville, NC; his grandchildren, Callie Diane Shipman Johnson, Michael Austin Neal and Cassie Ann Neal; and his great grandchildren, Zayden Barrett and Emerson Barrett.
