He is survived by: his son James Douglas Tyler Herndon (Abbey); his siblings, Jimmy Herndon, Eddie Herndon (Donna) and Brenda Johnson; his grandchildren, Adriana Shelton (Dylan), Briana Herndon (Braxton), Juliana Herndon, Landon Herndon and Tinslee Herndon; and his great grandchildren, Emory Shelton, Ella Shelton and Lakelynn Patterson.
