With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Samuel Sylvester McGlamery of Jamestown, South Carolina, born in Albany, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 30, 2025 at the age of 83. He is survived by: his wife Esther McGlamery; his children, Teresa Williams of Summerville, SC, Denise Fletcher of Jamestown, SC, Steve Brown (Sharon Brown) and Catherine Durgin (Butch Durgin) of Jamestown, SC; and also Charlotte Craig (Charles Craig). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church (1914 Shulerville Rd, Jamestown, SC 29453). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at the New Hope Cemetery (1691 Shulerville Rd, Shulerville, SC 29453).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers, a cause close to Dad's heart.
