She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Thompson and Gladys Faile Thompson; her husband Johnny Reece Melton; and her siblings, Ira L. "Buster" Thompson, Henry "Dobber" Thompson, Jr., Glenn Johnson and Phyllis Bach.

She is survived by : her children, Diane Price (Ralph) of Jefferson, SC and Reece Melton (Christi) of Lancaster, SC; her grandchildren, Josh Price (Rebekah), Carmin Currie (Andrew), Hannah Sponsler (David), Justin Melton and Brittany Melton; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Caden, Tegan, Baylor, Bella and Jennings Reece; and her siblings, Dennis Thompson (Darlene) of Lancaster, SC and Margaret Simpson of Jefferson, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the ministry that Peggy helped to organize and prepared meals for each week for the senior saints of the church and community, Bethel Baptist Church, "Dinner Club," 11078 Hwy. 151, Jefferson, SC 29718.
