He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Simon Hager and Margarette Frances Long Hager; and his siblings, Frances Parks of Cleveland, NC, Nancy Blankenship (Arthur Blankenship) of Cleveland, NC and Richard Hager of Jenkinsville, SC..
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Jennie" Hager of Rock Hill; his sons, Fred M. Hager of Rock Hill and Hampton Hager of Edgemoor; his daughter-in-law Christi V. Hager of Edgemoor, SC; his granddaughters, Martha Hager and Miriam Hager of Edgemoor, SC.; and his brothers, Michael Hager (Liza) of Raleigh, NC and Dennis Hager of Marydel, MD.. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law.
The family asks that all memorials be made to the David R. Pharr Scholarship fund through Charlotte Ave. Church of Christ.
