With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Edward Phillips of Joanna, South Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Phillips and Janie Rowland Phillips; and his siblings, Faye Edwards, Carroll Phillips and Clint Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Phillips; his children, Kenneth "Ken" Phillips of Joanna and Cheryl Gurney (Derek) of Greenwood; his granddaughters, Lacey Gurney of Greenwood and Kayla Hoxworth (Avery) of Evans, GA; his great grandchildren, Alexander of Evans, GA., Landon of Evans, GA., Elizabeth of Evans, GA. and Owen Hoxworth of Evans, GA.; and his siblings, Joann Bryant (Ted) of Latta, Kathy Jones (Mike) of New Bern, NC, Harold Phillips (Vicki) of Spartanburg and David Phillips (Marsha) of New Bern, NC.. He is also survived by his family and closest friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Joanna Church of God (124 S Main St, Joanna, SC 29351). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
