He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth N Waters; and his parents, James McCoy Waters and Allie Mae Vendrick. He is survived by: his children, Levi Anthony Waters, Charles McCoy Waters, Jr. and Charlene Brainerd (Web); and his granddaughter Jennifer Brainerd.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel (3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, Charleston, SC 29414). A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
