As Cynthia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Cynthia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Cynthia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her father John Joyner; her father-in-law Hector Maxwell Sr.; and her nephew Carrington Joyner. She is survived by: her children, Mason Lamont Maxwell and Madison Shavon Maxwell; her husband LaJohno Maxwell; her mother Yvonne Joyner; her mother-in-law Olethia Maxwell; and her siblings, Ivin Joyner (Kim) and Chirelle Joyner Wright. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. James Presbyterian Church (1314 Secessionville Rd, Charleston, SC 29412).
Mrs. Maxwell also enjoyed being a support group leader for the Scleroderma Foundation here in Charleston, South Carolina.
