We announce the death of David Alan Pitcher of Johns Island, South Carolina, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 69. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew David will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Jean and Eugene Clinton Pitcher. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Spring Scholefield; his children, Jeffrey Pitcher (Jill) and Melissa Warren (Michael); his grandsons, Henry, Joseph, Thomas and John Henry; and his brothers, Gene (Terri) and Mike (Candy). He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
