With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Carroll Strickland of Johns Island, South Carolina, born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on November 30, 2023 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Merritt Strickland and Jessie Gertrude Rathbone Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Betty Grace Moody Strickland; his children, Leslie Strickland Peach of Hollywood, SC, Darlene Mixon of Summerville, SC, Lori Flood of Johns Island, SC and Michael Strickland of Beaufort, SC; his sister Clara Brinkley of Marion, NC; his children-in-law, Kathy Marckel, Dixie Strickland, Clay Littlejohn and Tim Marckel; his grandchildren, Brandy Cence, Amber Flood, Myra Haley, Ashley McCoy, Rachael Bilancione, Kelli Guffey, Caitlyn Littlejohn and Matthew Mixon; and his great grandchildren, Brian, Chris, Emmy, Benjamin, Gavin, Lilly, Bella, Savannah, Alex, Theo and Gianni.
