She was predeceased by: her husband Nolan Selmar Deden; and her parents, John Hume Lucas, Jr. and Cornelia Taft Lucas. She is survived by: her brother John Hume Lucas (Judy); and her children, John David Deden (Jeanette), Robert Taft Deden (Elizabeth) and Virginia Deden Burton (James). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc. (3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, Charleston, SC 29414). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Old St. Andrews Parish Church (2604 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414). A burial was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at the Old St. Andrew's Parish Churchyard (2604 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Saint Andrew's Parish Church.
