He is survived by: his son Max Miller Dowdle (Morrow); his wife Merriman Lee Dowdle; his children, Lisa Barfield, Amy Nash (Christopher), Brian Barfield (Deanna) and Isaac Miller; his grandchildren, Alexis Barfield, Trey Smith, Anna Barfield, Katherine Bailey Barfield, Zayne Smith, Colter Smith, Arden Dowdle, Ivy Miller, Ronan Dowdle and Aaron Miller; his sisters, JoAnn Winslow and Michal Godbee; and his pet Shadow.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Johns Island Presbyterian Church (2550 Bohicket Rd, Johns Island, SC 29455).
