He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Hatchell and Pearl Miles Hatchell; his siblings, Ranny Hatchell, Billy Hatchell, Bobby Gene Hatchell and Ramona Altman Scott; and his brother-in-law Billy Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Perry Hatchell; his son Scott Hatchell (Angela); his grandsons, Devin Hatchell (Harriet Hall), Christopher Hatchell (Tess) and Nicholas Roland Hatchell; his sisters, Miriam Powell Hare, Mary Godwin, Patricia Turner (Eddie) and Irene Tanner (Buck); and his sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hatchell and Ruby Hatchell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
