He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo J. Ard and Nancy Abigail Phifer; his grandparents, Ruell Prosser, Trudy Mabel Prosser, Silas Bruce Phifer Jr. and Susie Kate Patton Phifer; his sister Donna Gail Coker Ward; and his son Kenneth Hestand.
He is survived by: his daughter Cassandra Ard; his grandchildren, Kaydence and Kaleb; his son Josh Davis; and his siblings, Eric Hopkins, Julie Gandy (Aaron), Lori Ard and Cindy Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, along with extended family members and dear friends.
